Infantry Limitations Question was created by The Trade Federation
I've been putting together a CIS army list and until I've got more games under my belt I can only go by the numbers for the units, I've found the following:
B1 Battledroids come in a unit of 4, at full strength were looking at 60pts for 4 bases churning out 8 ranged attacks or 8 melee attacks, able to soak up to 12 wounds, armour rating 6+ meaning your saving a 6th of attacks, on average you can take 14 hits.
Beautiful but I can only take 6 units of the clankers so in a 1000pts list its only 360 points.
but compared to B2 Battle Droids, they come in a unit of 3 for 60pts, same ranged damage but less bases so at full strength they can put out 6 ranged attacks or 9 melee attacks, able to soak up 9 wounds, 5+ save means on average they can now take 12 hits.
so now your probably picturing me scoffing at my computer wearing a B1 battle droid superiority shirt, kissing my Star wars episode 1 's my Focus:
I cant stand Gungans, and 6 units of B1 battledroids isnt going to cut it when I go to exterminate Naboo, the CIS seems to be designed like a horde army with low cost cheap units and I would love to
Are there plans to potentially increase the standard Infantry allocation to the rules? to allow for larger armies with more basic infantry?

Hey there thanks for the feedback. As for unit limitations, they are set per unit so B1 droids specifically are currently set to a 40% cap of your total army point cost. This number can be adjusted upwards if necessary but it is one of the balancing points that prevents them from being abused so to speak. Take a look at Star Wars Legion for example, they only allow you to bring a maximum of 6 core units as well.
Your posts are making me laugh though, so I will bump their limit up to 8 units in the upcoming rules update and that can be tested to see if it breaks anything. (roger roger)
