With legion, flashpoint, X-wing and the lesser known TTRPG of buying the classic Jabba the Hut and the Rancor action figures and making them kiss, What brings you to Regiment?

I love Star wars, its got a stranglehold on my heart but the Clone wars blew my mind even further, its not called star skirmish for a reason... The Empire isn't as fearsome in a matched battle, a Wookie that only has 3 people to rip the arms off of is a wasted Wookie.
Regiment let me use the MTT droid tanks, rolling across the battlefield to unleash waves of droid that bring back the feeling of the battle of Naboo in a way Legion never could. Its the best game for the battle of Hoth, the battles on the beaches of Scarrif both with looming AT-AT walkers. its Ideal for Geonosis, Felucia and Kashykk to finally bring these sieges to life in a way that feels suitably epic.

Rant over, what brings you to 6mm Star Wars Regiment?

Funny enough, one of the reasons I started making Regiment was in response to another homebrew I was making for the board game Star Wars Rebellion. In that game you play as either the Empire or Rebels and play out a race to victory by scoring various objectives wins or finding and destroying the Rebel base across over 20 or more possible systems.

You also have the ability to fight in space and on the ground in a larger scale. Another game I really enjoy is Star Wars Armada, so naturally I wanted to combine the two. Instead of using the built-in combat system I wanted to play out the space battle in real-time using Armada (and it works btw, very fun, will do a video on it later).

But then there was a gap. I have a large-scale space battle game, but the closest thing I had for ground was Legion. Skirmish scale was not nearly good enough for me to represent a ground battle. After doing research I was surprised to see that never has there been any kind of epic-scale Star Wars game. The closest is probably the Battle of Hoth boardgame in the Memoir 44 game engine that came out recently (great game btw) but still wasn't quite what I was looking for. After working on the Legacy and Nexus teams for a year or two I felt I had the skillset necessary to bring this idea to life, so then I got to work!
